Crafted by Infinity Bezel Setting Article

I don't think bezel setting is that famous here in Malaysia, but if you are interested in such setting, then you may find this article useful.

I always think that bezel setting is not an optimal setting for diamonds, as once the diamond is wrapped inside, the performance will be impeded. In fact, I am actually more comfortable for ring settings to have a "hole" beneath the diamond just to allow more light to pass through, and I still do now. A jeweler once told me that the hole is how other jewelers reduce the amount of gold used for a ring setting, which makes sense. However, now that I have read this article by High Performance Diamonds, it makes more sense.

I really like how Crafted by Infinity uses the word "fine-tuned". And that is for the diamond's performance, not for weight-retention. Sadly, yes, diamond can be "fine-tuned" for weight retention in order to hit a certain carat weight that can fetch a higher selling price. This phenomenal is not obvious in lower carat range, especially for diamonds that are below 1 carat., whereby a mediocre 0.4ct can be more or less the same as an exceptionally cut 0.3ct, but as the carat weight goes higher, a badly cut higher carat weight diamond can sell for a higher price than a exceptionally cut lower carat weight diamond.

Is there any proof that Crafted by Infinity really fine-tuned their diamonds? Or just a marketing gimmick? This is an interesting question I asked myself before. Anything online, we should be skeptical and verify its trustworthiness. I would say there is no direct way to verify such statement. However, after numerous reference on PriceScope, a famous forum whereby many diamond lovers share their thoughts, as well as verifying the performance of the Crafted by Infinity I have, I am comfortable to say that yes, I do believe that they do fine-tuned their diamonds for that consistency performance. Besides, High Performance Diamonds do offer a See it to Believe it program, which would probably work only in the United States (for Malaysia, you can try asking), but then, the point is that they are so confident that their diamonds can perform so-well that they are willing to offer such service. This program is not too different from a return policy that can be offered by other sellers, but I think the best part is High Performance Diamonds cover all the necessary cost (again, the coverage may work in the United States, for other countries like Malaysia, you have to ask).

Despite their reduction in prices recently, their prices are still not the cheapest around, but then, they have become more affordable, and totally worthy for consideration.

Oh, and if you are confuse between High Performance Diamonds and Crafted by Infinity, the former is one of the authorized distributor, while the latter is the diamond cutter and supplier. So you can actually see Crafted by Infinity in other places, unfortunately, not here in Malaysia. But then, with the amount of real life experience I saw, it is suffice to say that I can just pick any Crafted by Infinity stones that fit my budget.
