Good Diamonds in Virtual Inventory

Updated: 16 Feb 2020 - RM 300 discount for preorder no longer applies. Buying existing or preorder will go case-by-case basis.

Sometimes, I will come across diamonds as good as this:

GIA-7346065474 - http://diamonds.3dvirtualdiamond.com/diamond-detail.aspx?r=7346065474
My selling price is approximately RM 6290.00 for the stone alone - GIA-7346065474. It may be cheaper, depending on certain circumstances, for example, if I take in multiple stones, then the shipping cost can be lesser.

The other way that I can think of, is just like what other jewellers are doing - I will suggest you a stone first, and then I will proceed to buy it for you, if you agree. I will take in a 50% down payment first and then once the stone arrives, you will pay me the remaining 50% during COD (Note: This is applicable for stones that are 0.4ct range only as I do not have that much of cash flow). If we are using this way, I will give you a discount of RM 300 (for stones that are 0.4ct and above). This is because this is a guaranteed sale and I don't have the keep inventory. So, in this case, my selling price will be RM 5990.00, and you will have to pay me RM 2995.00 first, and then the remaining RM 2995.00 during COD.

Of course, this way can only be done if we have mutual understanding and trust. If you are skeptical about this, I would suggest you to look for other alternatives from some other jewellers.

GIA-2347065485 - http://diamonds.3dvirtualdiamond.com/diamond-detail.aspx?r=2347065485
Here is another stone, this one will be RM 5840.00 for the stone alone - GIA-2347065485. Again, same rule applies, just like the one above. So, if you are interested, trust me, and willing to pay me upfront, then it will be RM 5540.00. I will get RM 2770.00 from you first, then the remaining balance of RM 2770.00 will be paid when we meet up for COD. One more thing, all sales are cash term only. So if you want to use credit card, my way is not the best way, so you may want to take this into consideration.

As far as 4Cs is concerned, I am sure some other vendors will be able to offer a better price. However, as far as I know, most vendors will not be able to show you the Hearts of the particular diamond you are buying, simply because the supplier does not provide such image. That being said, if the vendor is able to offer you a good quality image of the diamond front-facing, and the diamond has decent arrows and decent proportions, those diamonds can also perform well. This being said, I do not come across all this images all the time. In fact, these images are very rare. However, actual diamond image or actual diamond video are not as rare and I can come across those diamonds slightly easier (albeit still hard). For example, the diamond below:

GIA-7343572935 - http://diamonds.3dvirtualdiamond.com/diamond-detail.aspx?r=7343572935

Now, this diamond has the same H&A rating as the 2 diamonds above, based on the input by the supplier. The supplier rated this as EX H&A, which means it has excellent Hearts & Arrows. Will this be as good as the other two? I can't say for sure as there are nothing to prove, but I can say it will be pretty close, at least, based no my own experience.

Alright, for this, my selling price will be RM 4700.00, which is a pretty good price if you ask me. Of course, the same rule as above also applies, since this is a 0.4ct and above diamond, so if you are willing to order from me, then the final price will be RM 4400.00, a RM 300 discount applies. Again, a refresher, the original selling price is the price that I am going to sell if I take it and sell, that means, I keep inventory, hence the price will be higher. The discounted method is the way I am going to sell if you pay me 50% upfront, and remaining 50% upfront during COD.

Now, some of you may be wondering, where can I set my stones? Well, you can set it anywhere you want, but my usual recommendation is Memory Jewellery at Sentul. Typical simple solitaire starts from Rm 1400.00 usually. Extensive customization may shoot-up the price quite a bit, into the RM 2k region.

Here is another cheaper alternative - MS Jewels. I have not tried them before though, but seems legit enough. Maybe one day I will try it.

Oh, and for those who want even cheaper 0.4ct stone, do consider the 0.41ct E VVS2 GIA graded stone that I am selling at RM 3850.00. It has Faint fluorescence but in reality, it is not noticeable unless you view the stone under UV light - diamonds with fluorescence will glow in blue. Some like it, some don't. It is sort like an "extra feature" if you ask me. Also, we don't carry a UV light running around all the time, do we?

Alright, that's all for now. Happy CNY 2020 to those who are celebrating! Huat ah!

p.s. Do note that for the links provided, they may become unavailable once the particular diamond has been purchased by some party.
