Recently I noticed there is an increase in diamond price. For instance, previously my selling price for this 0.43ct D VS2 GIA 3EX is at RM 4655, now it is selling at RM 4850. This is probably due to the Russia-Ukraine war, as Russia is one of the main raw diamond producer in the world.
So if you are in the market looking for a diamond and already engaged conversation with any jeweler, don't be alarmed if the price is higher than before.
Even ring setting price can be higher now as the gold price has increased as well.
