We have reached the final month for tax-free period. For peace of mind, it is best to buy now even if you plan to propose later. Of course, just my 2 cents.
I am not sure whether SST will affect the price or not, but my gut feeling tells me shipping in loose diamonds might be tax-free. If I have that extra cash to spare, may be I can find out. :p
